As a leader at Chick-fil-A, I strive to be someone the kids can look up to… not only at work… but “off the clock” as well. Talk is cheap, unless you can back it up with your walk.

False advertisement. We mainly think of it in relation to a product being sold. But what about in a person? Don’t “sell” a version of yourself that isn’t who you really are. In the end, you won’t be happy, and neither will the other party. Be authentic. All day. Every day.

Was so excited to be back up front today (after 2 months training in the kitchen) at CFA, that I rapped for my boss, Dean Sandbo… Haha! It went like this:
“Let me just be blunt… I love serving up front. So whether it’s a handshake, high-five, smile, or nod… may everything I do be to the glory of God!”

An incredible opportunity to minister!

A lady with 3 kids or so was hit from behind and her SUV flipped over on its side. Not to mention she is 26 weeks pregnant. This happened a mile from our CFA. We were able to run chicken minis and milk to the scene for the little kiddos while the ambulance took mom to the hospital to check on the baby inside. Happy to say all are doing well. Love that we can be there for our community!

Simple Wisdom… So Profound

The book of Proverbs talks much of listening to the advice of counselors… those that are older and wiser. Even though I could read every book on the planet concerning leadership/business growth, etc… there is just something special about sitting down with a guest, as I did this morning, and simply listening. The older, very successful man told me the story of his youth.. how he came from nothing.. never really saw his parents, and how he raised himself. So how did he get to where he is today? His secret: Out-work everybody else. Do the jobs no one else likes to do. Simple. Spot on. Truth. Loved it!

Take the LEAP OF FAITH!

Let me encourage you to take a leap of faith. If God is leading you strongly in an area, but financially, or for some other reason, it looks impossible… JUMP! Faith is simply trusting God. He won’t let you fall. Period. This CFA journey has been amazing… not just the people I am meeting, or the operation I am learning… but having to trust in God daily, WOW!
